So I thought I'd give some information on how I got into witchcraft in the first place.
It all started December 2018 when I finally got curious about my rose quartz runes and started a notebook on the various meanings of each rune. I'm not sure why but I use a Harry Potter notebook for these meanings and I'm still collecting meanings even now.
I was gifted my rune stones in 2009/10 by a friend who said that they saw the stones and immediately thought of me. I thought they were pretty occasionally picked them up but I didn't really use them as a divination tool until December 2018.
I actually used the runes to help me design my first spell, a protection spell for my home, in January 2019. I wanted to protect my home and somehow, I added a mirror spell into it as well. I used my collected meanings to word my spell exactly how I wanted it. (I didn't have my own Book of Spells at the time but when I did get a notebook just for my spells, I added it in).
In April 2019, I started thinking about some rune readings, birth readings specifically, just to see what it was like and how accurate these readings were. I did several and found that people were pleasantly shocked at how accurate the runes described them.
That was how I started doing rune readings initially but I stopped doing them for a few months but took it back up in September when I joined a group on Facebook.
Since I joined the group, I've joined another two groups doing a variety of rune readings.
At the end of November, I started doing Oracle card readings - using some mini decks that I bought in a UK shop called The Works. I started with a Lunar deck and a Nature of Wicca deck. Then I got a Chakra Wisdom deck and a Mindfulness & Meditation deck (I use all 4 decks as a daily card with each card being used on a set day each week). I also got a set of amethyst rune stones because my I feel the most affinity with amethyst (I love purple) but I have kept my rose quartz stones as they were my introduction into my craft.
I did acquire other larger decks, including the Goddess deck, Butterfly Life Changes (a birthday present to myself), and a Lord of the Rings deck (which I absolutely love). Moonology, The Wisdom of Avalon, and The Enchanted Map are my three latest decks and they are so calming to use.
I use divination as part of my daily craft as I find that it calms me as well as helping others to find guidance within their lives. I like to use my craft to help others over myself, although I have done a Divination Spell Bottle and a personal protection rune spell too.
I thought you might be interested in how I came to discover my craft and that's my story so far. I'll do a post each on my rune spells and spell bottle so you can use them yourselves, if you like them.
Hope you all stay safe and blessed be!!!!
