Full Moon in Taurus 2024

Hail and Well Met you magickal souls!!!!

It's almost time for the Full Moon in Taurus, which always occurs when the Sun is in the sign of Scorpio as they are opposing signs. This Full Moon will reach peak energy on 15th November but if you're wanting to charge some Moon Water, your crystals or magickal tools, you can do this the night before and the night after as well as the night of.

With this Full Moon, the influence is to go deep and find what we'd prefer to hide and bury so it doesn't see the light of day. These Shadows are likely to be triggered but this Full Moon will illuminate our deepest insecurities as well as everything that we allow to go unsaid or unheard. No matter how hard we try, we are highly unlikely to be able to hide away from our Shadow Selves. All of this is an opportunity for us to see it, feel it, learn from it, heal from it, and then rise from it.

This is the perfect Moon to show our appreciation for our blessings and learning from our burdens, becoming stronger as we turn our "weaknesses" into strengths. Realising our challenges are actually opportunities for us to create instead of being resistant and bull-headed.

As previously mentioned, the Sun is in Scorpio so these energies are mixed in. This is why we're being called to be vulnerable, it can be an intense Full Moon, with lots of deep internal emotions floating around us.

The combination of Scorpio and Taurus energies means that this could be a transformative time if we are willing to put in the work. This means we have to find a place that allows us to feel safe so that we can be vulnerable. The Taurus energy brings us the opportunity to love, accept, own and embrace our Shadows, so that our light can shine brighter and taking us towards the lasting safety and security that comes from within our own Selves.

This Full Moon is the perfect time to do an emotional cleanse where we let go of old emotions that we no longer need (like blame, resentment and shame), One thing we can do to help with this is to make a list of anything that has been holding us down or keeping us stuck so that we can take advantage of the energy of the waning moon to release it.

A second thing that this Full Moon is perfect for is helping us to feel at home within our own Selves. We are all made up of light and Shadows but is there a way that we can love ourselves more? Maybe creating some personal affirmations could help us to release our fears, especially when it comes to our most vulnerable parts of our Selves.

This Full Moon is also perfect for creating lasting foundations within our lives. So we have to use the lunar illumination to see which foundations feel unstable or wobbly. Again, we can use the energy of the waning moon to let these go so that we can find or build firmer ones.

With all of this in mind, here's a collective reading for how this Full Moon in Taurus will likely influence us all. I've used the Light Seer's Tarot deck for my own spread.

Which Shadow do we most need to face under this Full Moon?

9 of wands, Ace of Cups

With these cards, they appear to say that we have become so used to protecting our true hearts that we may not know how to live without the fences and walls protecting it. The 9 of Wands indicates that we patrol the border to ensure that there are no weak-spots that can be exploited by anyone. We seem to be at peace with this situation but this doesn't necessarily mean that we actually are. What we don't realise is that being closed off from the rest of the world will have a negative impact on all of our relationships because we aren't emotionally available or trusting. If we can't be vulnerable with those we love, do we really know what love actually is?

With the Ace of Cups, this is where the connection to our heart and emotions comes from. They are inherently connected but we don't always want to try to start again because we are so fearful of being hurt all over again. But the problem is that we can't live our lives in fear or we won't end up living at all. There's only so much time we can spend keeping anyone and everyone at arm's length. We might want to keep our hearts so that no one can have the opportunity to hurt us but that's how we learn what love really is. We have to know pain to know what healing is. We have to be vulnerable so that we don't become a pawn, someone that others can control through fearmonger tactics. We have to be open to our emotions too.

How can we show this Shadow love and acceptance to release us from its influence?

Queen of Pentacles

With this card, the message is that we can show love by just being with this Shadow. Without judgement and just listening, we can hear the wisdom that Nature has for us.

There's only so much information we can gather from looking at something's initial appearance. The phrase "Never judge a book by its cover" is something to live by.

By just being and spending time with this Shadow, we can understand its true Nature and how it came to exist.

No matter what our personal life goals are, we don't have to keep a tight grip on them because that is the easiest way to lose them. The same is true for relationships and Shadow Work. Letting everything happen in its own natural time is how the truth will be known.

What is the best way we can feel more at home within our Selves?

The World, 10 of Swords

With The World, it's all about realising that we are an entire world in creation. There's no one else like us, even if there are doppelgangers but they aren't exact replicas of us. We are the only version of us in existence. We hold all the energy within us that we need to be able to manifest the life we want to live, to heal our traumas (although having guidance is good). The World lives within us because we are divine beings in our own right. The people around us orbit us, just as we orbit them. When we realise all of this, there's nothing that should be able to stop us from achieving our dreams, healing our Shadows, if we only believe that we can.

With the 10 of Swords, it shows us that we can feel more at home within our Selves by leaving behind what no longer serves us. If we stop carrying the baggage that drags us down and keeps us tied to the past. We can feel more at home within our Selves if we allow ourselves to fly free, to follow our own dreams instead of the dreams of others so that we don't burden ourselves with these imagined or real expectations. There's also an element of having climbed up out of the valley of darkness that comes with not making your own decisions, and now standing on the verge of a new life chapter that is offering us anything and everything if we only have the courage to make the choice for ourselves about what we want to achieve in life without looking back at the past and with no regrets.

How will facing this Shadow improve the foundations of our lives?

King and Ace of Wands

Well, with the King of Wands, the message is that by facing this Shadow we will be able to build our lives on foundations that we want and need in life. We'll be the ones in charge, the Lion surveying his Kingdom (or a Lioness). By facing this Shadow, we would be the ones with power over our lives. We would be the ones who could choose where to get nourishment and love. No one would be able to stop us from setting clear boundaries and being true to them. We would be able to remove the foundations that no longer serve us so that stronger and newer ones could be built in their place. We would be less inclined to bend to the will of others.

With the Ace of Wands, the message is that we would be able to think freely for ourselves. By facing this Shadow, we would be made free of the will of others, less likely to follow their dreams and desires. Living our lives according to our own dreams and desires would allow us to realise and consider what it is that we want in our lives. We would have the freedom to consider all paths. Our minds would be free to create whatever life we wished to live. Our thoughts and lives would be our own, our dreams and desires too. Our ability to manifest anything and everything would be wide open and but at the same time, self-belief is what we'd need to nurture and build our lives on the knowledge that we deserve the life we want.

As indicated, the Full Moon in Taurus looks like it will be a very deep and intense time. Don't worry if you don't think you're able to face this particular Shadow - the opportunity presented under this Full Moon will be presented to us again until we've done the necessary work to heal and integrate it. We could lay the groundwork/foundation for this Shadow Work in the future.

I hope this helps you to think about what this Full Moon in Taurus can help you to face. If you'd like a more personal look at all of this, my diary and inbox are open to everyone.

Peace and love to all!!!!
