Merry Meet and Welcome to you magickal souls!!!!

It's time to think about the next lunar event which is the Full Moon in Leo. This will be at its peak energy on 12th February but if you want to do any magickal workings, you could do them on 11th or 13th if you need to.

The Full Moon phase is associated with heightened or amplified energy, endings or conclusions, and illumination. With the increase in energy, we might feel like we can achieve anything and actually do so, or we might feel frazzled and all over the place.

The Full Moon is usually the time when many witches post about making some Moon Water (although you can use any phase) to make use of the swirling energies when making potions, spells and magickal drinks like tea (or coffee).

But as most of us know, the Full Moon doesn't occur just before the New Moon as there is about 2 weeks between the two lunar events. So this is the time to either celebrate achieving a goal/intention that we set out to achieve at the New Moon, New Year or the beginning of the calendar month, or we review what happened and stood in the way of our goal/intention.

So this is a really energy-rich time before we even add in the energy of the zodiac sign to the mix. But with this particular Full Moon, that energy comes from the sign of Leo. This sign is all about confidence, being creative, being seen, and being free and wild. Leo is symbolised by the lion, the animal most commonly associated with all of these things.

But how can we use this Full Moon in Leo energy? Well, we can use it to reconnect with our own hearts, our inner strength, and being authentically ourselves. This is not the time to be listening to fear and what we think we can't do because unless we try, we don't know that we definitely can't do it.

Stand out from the crowd and be unapologetically authentic to our own hearts and souls, knowing that we can and should be brave and bold. This may seem opposite but that's not just describing Leo energy - it's also bringing in the Aquarius energy that the Sun is shining onto the Moon. Aquarius is the freedom-seeking, rebellious energy which could be very useful with the energy of Leo.

So this mix of energies is encouraging us to be confident, to believe in ourselves and what we can achieve, to follow our hearts when it comes to being creative regardless of whether that is finding a solution or making something somehow. This Full Moon wants us to stand tall and be illuminated under the lunar spotlight so that we can be authentically ourselves without letting anything get in the way of us doing so.

But what wisdom does this Full Moon in Leo hold for us all? Let's have a look at that now with this collective tarot spread I crafted and did using the Game of Thrones Tarot deck.

How can we use this Full Moon to build a greater sense of self-confidence?

The Lovers & Eight of Swords

Well, it seems like the Lovers have come to tell us to love ourselves, to express love during this time. By showing ourselves love, we can build up our self-confidence but sometimes we need a bit of help. By asking for and accepting help, we can build up our sense of confidence. However, it is important we understand that we are individuals while looking for support from our relationships. We are separate entities and started out that way. By showing someone else love, we can help to boost their confidence so letting others do the same for us just makes sense. There's nothing wrong with doing this either; in fact, there's everything right with it. As we are shown love, no matter who does this, our confidence can be boosted.

With the Eight of Swords, the message is that we are a prisoner of our own minds and this is the biggest challenge that will hold us back from building our self-confidence. We are our own biggest critic, our own worst enemy, and the beginning of our greatest sabotage. We need to find a way to escape these infernal bonds or we won't be able to give, let alone receive, the kind of supporting love that we need. Every comment that we are undeserving of love, that we will never amount to anything, that they doubt our abilities - they have become the swords that keep us prisoner but we are the ones who have allowed those swords to stay and form the bars of our mental prison. But we can discard them, with love, knowing they have served their purpose.

How will we know if we are following our hearts?

Five of Coins

With this card, the only way we will know if we are following our hearts is with our feelings.

Within this image, Arya is blind and begging for assistance, not knowing that it's within reach if only she were to turn around.

We cannot see that we are following our hearts but it can land within us in a way that conveys the message instead. If something sits within us lightly and lifting us up, that's something we should follow and keep within our lives. However, if it feels heavy within us and like it's going to drag us down, that's something to avoid.

We have to follow our feelings and emotions without seeing where we are going or where we think we're supposed to go. We have to trust and be led by our feelings and hearts to find our confidence.

What action can we take to be more authentically ourselves?

The Empress

The Empress is a leader, as was the Khaleesi shown here. She led an army from one country to another, to a place they never thought they would go to. But she believed in her path and they followed her.

This is what we need to channel within ourselves. If we don't believe in our paths, our visions, or our own selves, no one else will nor will they be inspired to follow where we lead.

Without some semblance of self-confidence, we cannot hope to forge ahead to new territories.

We also need to look towards the future, while only looking back to learn from a specific moment or event. We have no need for reminiscing at this point in time because the present and the future should be our main points of focus.

In what way will doing this impact the rest of our lives?

The Moon

Traditionally, the Moon is all about following our intuition. It can also denote illusion and the boundary between the known world and the unknown one.

Shown within this card is the "Moon Door", a hatch that is kept closed off for the safety of everyone until the worst punishment is given: being pushed through the door to the Vale of Arryn far below.

This particular place lends itself more towards illusion and the boundaries between the worlds. So perhaps this card is showing that the impact of becoming a leader will be knowing the difference between illusion, between what we know and what we don't.

We have a decision to make regarding whether we stand tall and are known, or if we fall (or get pushed) towards a fate that was never meant for us.

Well, that was deep but also inspiring. If we want to lead, we need to believe in ourselves which means becoming free from the mental Swords that are keeping us prisoner. While the cards may seem to be full of negativity or pulling us down, they show that we can still be successful and overcome everything that we face in life. Love can sometimes mean just being gentle, like a true Empress who does not force her will on others without hearing their concerns.

I hope this does fill you with inspiration to become your own Empress but if you feel you need more personal guidance, my diary and inbox are open.

Peace and love to all!!!!
